What We Do

Urbanetic is developing cutting edge computational and data management tools to solve real world problems posed by rapid pace of urbanisation, climate change and threats of terrorism.

Urbanetic is transforming the built environment - the way it is designed and managed. We build innovative and highly intuitive software tools that aim to cut ‘time-to market’ of a development by an order of magnitude, help design for sustainability, and significantly improve our understanding of the built environment with the complex and dynamic nature of interrelationships of its components.

A powerful city planning tool in the making, our first and core product Fabric allows high-performance interactive visualization of city or precinct data in 3D. This allows real estate developers, planners and city councils to make better decisions by simulating scenarios and testing the impact of choices in the present and future.

Following a design concept of “serious play”, our software takes away the complexity traditionally associated with computer-aided design software, transparently managing and integrating data from different sources. The intuitive user interface focuses on the application of ideas to deliver performance outcomes of design and planning decisions.

We invest heavily in research and development to ensure our products are not only a pleasure to use, but targeted to achieve positive outcomes in the real world.

Our current focus is in the analysis, modelling and visualisation of land use planning and energy, but we’re always on the lookout for opportunities where innovative software can deliver exceptional results.
